WHAT WE DO

What We Do

At Paradise Cooperative, everything begins with our garden: a shared space in Wandsworth where people and nature grow side by side. Our work is built around three core programmes: the Garden, Education and Community.

Together, they reach thousands of people every year, from school children and volunteers to families, community groups and partner organisations.

community

We create free, welcoming opportunities for people of all backgrounds to connect, learn and thrive through nature-based experiences. Our community programme includes weekly volunteer sessions, monthly workshops and events, and specialist programmes for those who face barriers to accessing green space.

community growing volunteer sessions

Our family-friendly Sunday volunteer sessions, open to everyone. Participants of all ages and experience levels learn practical growing skills, contribute to the garden and connect with their local community.

mindful growing sessions

A calm, supportive gardening session for adult wellbeing. Mindful Growing offers gentle gardening, nature connection and shared activity in a relaxed, welcoming group. There’s no pressure to be productive, and a wide range of skill levels.

We do gentle, optional gardening and nature-connection activities, harvest produce for our Community Food Initiative, and finish with shared snacks and refreshments.

paradise together

Free evening workshops and community meals, running every third Wednesday from April to September. Sessions explore food, nature, creativity and sustainability: always hands-on, always open to all (16+).

specialist & partnership programmes

We work with partner organisations to run targeted programmes for people who face particular barriers to accessing green space. Recent partnerships include our Sensory Stay & Play programme for SEND families, Her Me & ADHD supporting Year 7 and 8 students, and Mindful Growing referral pathways with Springfield Mental Health Trust.

harvest festival

Our largest event of the year, one Sunday in September. We gather with our partners, volunteers and community to celebrate the harvest season: with food, plant and produce sales, kids’ activities, garden tours and more!

our partnerships

We work with schools, charities, NHS services, arts organisations and local businesses to extend our reach and deepen our impact. Current and recent partners include Well Kneaded Foundation, HOME Café, Share Community, Her Me & ADHD, Wandsworth Arts Fringe, Springfield University Hospital, Capital Growth and Sustain, and Wandsworth Council.

If you are interested in partnering with us, we would love to hear from you.
