VISIT US

visit the garden

Find us on Heathfield Road, directly across the road from HMP Wandsworth. If you know Neal’s Nursery, we’re a short walk away in the opposite direction to the railway bridge.

We’re open to the public during our weekly volunteer sessions and at regular events and workshops throughout the year, when you’re welcome to come and look around. See our opening hours below, or check what’s coming up for events.

accessibility

We have a double gate at the entrance. Our paths are woodchip, which works for most pushchairs and wheelchairs, though an all-terrain wheelchair gives the smoothest journey around the garden.

There’s an eco-toilet onsite, and we’re installing an accessible toilet in summer 2026.

You’ll find drinking water and seating around the garden, with shaded spots to rest. We’re an off-grid site, so there’s no electricity, worth bearing in mind if you need to charge any equipment.

If you have any access needs or questions before visiting, get in touch, and we’ll do our best to help.

good to know

  • Children are the responsibility of their parents or guardians and should be supervised at all times on site.
  • Only assistance dogs are permitted.
  • We have active beehives in a fenced apiary, which should never be entered without permission. If you have a bee allergy, please bring any prescribed medication, such as an adrenaline auto-injector, with you, as we’re not able to store these onsite.
  • Wear clothing suitable for the weather and moving around a biodiverse (sometimes muddy) garden.
  • Surfaces may be uneven, slippery or have obstructions, so take care and take your time moving around.
  • We sometimes have a campfire in the community area. Keep a safe distance and don’t run nearby.
  • First aid boxes are stored in the office and the community kitchen. Our staff are trained in Outdoor First Aid.

Opening Hours

  • Tuesdays, 12.30 – 2.30 PM
  • Sundays, 10 AM – 12 PM
