What is Wild Child?
Wild Child is a club for children aged 8 – 11 and is focussed on helping children to try new things, excite their imagination and learn the way of nature. Through this we are hoping to help raise a generation that is aware of who they are, mindful of nature and has the capacity to imagine and think creatively.

Where is the club?
We’re really looking forward to our new temporary base in the space next to Home Community Cafe on Garret Lane, which will be cosy and warm for the coldest part of the year. We’ll be there for the first 5 sessions in January and Feb. After half-term the next 5 sessions will be held at Dobbins Field when it gets lighter and warmer.

When is it?
Tuesdays 15:30 – 17:00, starting Tuesday 9th January and running for 11 weeks (excluding February half term)

What will be the activities in the club?
Over the course of the term, we’ll be continuing with the same mix of adventurous activities and story-telling because we see the benefit of the energetic activities with the balance of the creative stories and reflection. So, you can expect to see drama, games, Winter Wildlife Walks along the Wandle, photography masterclass, and bike fixing workshop to name a few!

Who runs the club?
Wild Child is run by Samuel Markusse, a local drama therapist with many years of childcare experience as a trained drama therapist and au pair. Sam has been involved in the children’s activities at Paradise Co-operative for three years. His trained team are DBS checked and experienced in childcare.

Is dinner included this time?
No. Owing to the weather being colder and darker at this time of year, our club will be shorter than our Summer and Autumn club, running only for an hour and so we won’t offer dinner. Hot chocolate and a snack will be provided.

How much does it cost?
The term costs £110 per child. This includes costs for our leaders and workshop teachers, hiring the space, drinks and snacks, resources and also supports our ability to offer 2 bursary places children who need them.

How do I book?
Please fill in our online form. Once we receive your registration, we will send you instructions to pay us via online banking at which point your booking is secured.
